Chen Institute Retreat 2026

The Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute for Neuroscience at Caltech hosted its biennial retreat May 15–17, 2026, at the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge in picturesque Lake Arrowhead. Bringing together 103 faculty, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and staff representing 33 Caltech labs, the retreat provided an opportunity for the Caltech neuroscience community to connect, collaborate, and share neuroscience research in an inspiring mountain setting.

Attendees participated in a program of scientific talks and poster sessions, highlighting the breadth of neuroscience research at Caltech. The retreat also featured a variety of social activities designed to strengthen connections across labs and career stages. From lively discussions to lakeside fun, the weekend was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and memorable moments for all who attended.
