Chen Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DataSAI)
The Chen Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DataSAI) is led by Caltech professors Ralph Adolphs and Daniel Wagenaar.
Breakthrough techniques in neuroscience are generating enormous data sets, such as recordings of the activity of thousands of neurons over time, videos of complex animal behavior, and so on. But often, neuroscientists have not had formal training in the methods of data science and machine learning required to analyze and interpret such "big data." The Chen Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DataSAI) aims to address this knowledge gap through hosting immersive two-week summer school courses to provide participants with the knowledge and tools required to analyze these large data sets.
