Nathan Nadler
Profile
Nathan is a Junior at Case Western Reserve University with a major in biology and a double minor in chemistry and cognitive science. Nathan is interested in pursuing a career in biomedical research, specifically looking at the underlying neural circuitry of behavior. During his undergraduate experience Nathan has been a part of multiple labs trying to gain experience in many different fields of biology. In Dr. Roy Ritzmann's Neurobiology lab, Nathan performed behavioral experiments on praying mantis' to understand their response to certain stimuli. In Dr. Jay Albert's Biomedical Engineering lab, Nathan worked for the Cleveland Clinic in order to analyze the effects of exercise intervention on neurodegenerative diseases such as stroke. Currently Nathan is working in Dr. Peter Scacheri's Genetics lab, where he is looking into the roles of promoters for Colon Cancer propagation. By understanding the role of promoters in tumor propagation, more specific therapies can be developed to combat the spread of Colon Cancer. These different experiences have led Nathan to realize his passion for biomedical research, and he hopes to continue this research after graduation.
