Azucena Virgen is an undergraduate student and MARC scholar at UC Davis. Since high school, Virgen has had a strong interest in developmental biology and pursuing a research career. Through the Caltech BrainWAVE program, she will have the opportunity to work with Dr. Marianne Bronner where she hopes to get closer to her career goal of becoming a professor at a research university. Ultimately, her goal is to inspire students to also consider research as a career path.
