Yun's career goal is to become a systems neuroscientist to decipher the neural mechanisms of higher-order brain functions and behaviors, and their alterations underlying psychiatric disorders. Yun was born and raised in Taiwan and received her B.S. in Life Sciences at National Yang-Ming University, where she studied autism related behaviors in mouse models. She then worked as a research technician in Prof. Hillel Adesnik's lab at UC Berkeley, where she studied the V1 cortex using 2-photon microscopy. Besides research, she enjoys working out, photography, and trying out new food spots on the weekends.
