Wongyo is interested in neural mechanisms underlying behavior regulation according to different contexts and motivations. He received his BSc in Biological Science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 2022. During his undergraduate and for a year after graduation, he found the hypothalamic-to-brain circuits that detect the glucose in the gut and regulate glucose consumption in Greg Suh's lab. Then Wongyo worked as a research scientist in Actnova Inc and developed the pipeline for behavioral analysis and quantification based on the 3D pose-estimation deep learning model.
