Mina Mandic
Profile
Mina is a rising junior at Swarthmore College, majoring in Chemical Physics and minoring in Computer Science. Her previous research experiences have been in materials science, studying Liquid Crystals using fluorescent probes and astrophysics, studying light emission of Green Pea Galaxies. She has always had a strong interest in Neuroscience, especially the relationship between neural signals and their transmission into motor behaviors. In her free time she enjoys swimming and exploring new places. She is excited to start a new topic of research this summer on wing threat behavior in Drosophila while still being able to incorporate her background in fluorescence microscopy to visualize neurons and image analysis for neural signal processing!
