Alex Jin Hyung Chung
Alex has always been fascinated by the brain's ability to facilitate every action of our lived experiences. Alex graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in neuroscience and a specialization in data analytics. While at USC, he investigated reinforcement learning using songbirds as a model organism in Professor Sarah Bottjer's lab. He was awarded the Student of the Year Award for his work investigating developmentally regulated pathways dedicated to motor skill learning in juvenile songbirds. Outside of the lab, Alex enjoys climbing and can usually be found at the local climbing gym or on camping trips.
