Daniel Pollak
Daniel is interested in neuroethology, tinkering, and making science accessible for those who historically have not had access to it through mentorship, outreach, and open science practices. Daniel received a BS in Psychology and a minor in computer science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he worked with Luke Remage-Healey's group studying how songbirds listen to and produce song. He has also worked with Backyard Brains to develop low-cost, species-agnostic electrophysiology techniques in mantis shrimp and insects.
