Profile
Carrie is currently pursuing a cellular and molecular biology degree at UCSD. Her previous research experience has been in cellular biology, immunology, and endocrinology. Her primary research interest focuses on the relationship between genes and their role in disease development. She intends to pursue a role that encompasses her research experience as well as her desire to navigate infectious diseases. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing piano, and exploring sunny San Diego. She is excited by the opportunity to work in the Gradinaru lab and strengthen her knowledge and background as a researcher as she explores the intersection between gene expression and neural development.
