Blessing Njoku is currently a junior at Trinity College majoring in Neurobiochemistry. After researching traumatic brain injuries through domestic violence survivors, she moved to researching nucleotide binding to ion channels, specifically the P2X receptor, through fluorescence. Blessing is interested in the electrophysiology of the brain to better understand neuronal disorders like Parkinson's; ion channels--ATP's effect on them using spectroscopic imaging techniques; noninvasive therapies in the brain.
