Arsalan Hashmi

Arsalan is pursuing a B.S in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Arsalan is interested in a variety of fields like Bioengineering, Neuroscience, and Bioinformatics for the understanding of therapeutic technology. Arsalan's undergraduate research in the Read de Alaniz group at UCSB consists of the organic synthesis of biomaterials with applications in the biomedical field. One of Arsalan's goals is to potentially pursue a career in the biotechnology industry. Additionally, through this career path, he wants to advocate for underserved communities in the realm of medical access and try to get more resources and higher-end medical technology to more unfortunate and low-income communities.
