Chen Institute BrainWAVE Fellowship Program
The Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute for Neuroscience at Caltech has established the BrainWAVE fellowship program to offer opportunities for motivated undergraduates interested in carrying out a summer research project in neuroscience at Caltech. In partnership with Caltech's Student-Faculty Programs office and their WAVE summer program, BrainWAVE fellowships are awarded to non-Caltech undergraduates who plan to pursue a neuroscience-related PhD.
The Chen Institute is an active supporter of diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus. Students from underrepresented backgrounds in the sciences are encouraged to apply. This includes, but is not limited to, underrepresented minorities, women, first-generation college students, geographically underrepresented students, educationally or financially disadvantaged students, and students with disabilities. Successful candidates will develop and conduct a research project and work alongside Caltech faculty, staff, graduate student researchers and/or postdoctoral scholars throughout the 10-week period. During this time, BrainWAVE fellows will participate in activities within the Caltech neuroscience community as well as other events sponsored by Caltech's Student-Faculty Programs office.
